A poem I wrote to creatively describe what I do

Mental Health and Human Potential has been my focus since the late 1970s. In 1989, I opened my psychotherapy
private practice and then in 2001, I became certified as an Hypnotherapist. I have been successful with traditional
talk therapy, hypnotherapy and the art therapies, particularly dance movement.

I am thrilled to now use an additional intervention where my clients find rapid breakthroughs. And the words “rapid”
and “therapy” aren't often used in the same sentence! As an Advanced EFT practitioner, I have been astounded
and amazed at how effectively EFT resolves physical and emotional issues. I have introduced EFT to my family,
friends and 85% of my clients to this user-friendly technique.

I have been privileged to be trained in EFT practice and protocols by Linds a y K e nny, Zoe Walton and Rebecca
Marina in courses approved by Gary Craig, the Founder of Emotional Freedom Techniques,www.emofree.com. I
have passed both qualifying levels for Advanced EFT Practitioners as administered by Dr. Patricia Carrington.

I work extensively with people of all sexual orientations (lesbian, gay, bisexual, heterosexual), genders, family and
relationship styles (non-traditional and traditional), and ages. I have a strong background dealing with issues of
abuse and trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety, phobias, stress, body image work, communication, creativity,
performance and sports.

Personal and Professional Philosophy

A successful therapeutic relationship begins with the client evaluating how s/he feels in the presence of the
prospective therapist. If there is a good match, the therapy can proceed. I am including my personal philosophy so
that you can get a sense of me as a person and therapist. This philosophy permeates my work and all my life's
activities.

I strive to lead a life centered around the principles of empowerment, human dignity, excellence, and patience.

I remember that what is important to me is personal growth, communication, diversity, true purpose and the free time
to pursue these principles.

I admire the following characteristics in others: being courageous, committed, industrious, creative, visionary, and
free thinking. I attempt to implement similar characteristics in my life and help others do the same.

I recognize my strengths and take the time to develop my talents as a person who is insightful, articulate, intelligent,
imaginative and grateful.
